Rebecca Ciatto
Director/DBT-LBC
Rebecca has over 10yrs experience delivering DBT and RO DBT to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples with disorders of over-control and under-control in a variety of settings including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalisation programs and residential facilities. Rebecca has her Bachelors in Psychology from Richmond, The American International University in London and her Masters of Clinical Social Work from The University of Georgia. Rebecca is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AHMSW) and active AASW member.
Rebecca was the first DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™ in Australia and the first intensively trained RO DBT practitioner in NSW. Rebecca is also intensively trained in the DBT-Prolonged Exposure protocol. She’s trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and attended mindfulness training in Nepal. She created and implemented adaptations of DBT for children and worked with her team to adapt RO-DBT skills for adolescents. Since migrating to Australia in 2018, she has presented at multiple conferences and speaker events to increase awareness on Radically Open DBT and the difference to standard DBT.
While originally from Houston, TX, she has lived in London and Atlanta, GA. She’s an animal lover from ferrets to horses and has enjoyed discovering native Australian animals. Rebecca enjoys traveling and spends most of her time connecting with family and friends both virtually and in person.
